I tried to generate a license for a new package name today – I’m making a variant of a previous game.

The app fails to run – gets the “your license key for this app has expired” message.

For the first time I saw the new release license generation page.  I wonder if this is related?

In trying to find out, I noticed that the release note for 2.4.1 has the release date of 2.4.0.

Hi Martin,

please update to the latest Felgo version 2.4.1 and use the new licenseKey generator. To make sure you are using the latest version, clean your project and rebuild it so the new Felgo 2.4.1 libraries are used.

Thanks  – I had been thinking “I’m so close to done, I won’t upset anything by upgrading tools at the moment”.   It certainly would be nice if you could leave people that option.

… a case in point: I had some spare time for coding this evening.  However, instead, it is blown away by this update: the maintenance tool tells me I have hours of downloads to wait for, just to do a minor update of VPlay to be able to generate licenses again…

sorry to hear the download takes so long – it is a 100MB update.. Is it finished yet, and did it really take more than an hour?

We can also send you a licenseKey for your older Felgo version if you like!? However, we recommend upgrading to the latest versions as they contain bug fixes and new features. We’ll definitely look into why downloading takes so long in your case…

The one for 2.4.1 is April 2nd, the one for 2.4.0 is February 4th.
