    Hi,

    I’ve got yet another question:

When I build my app on the build server, and run it on my android phone, I can see in the LogCat application (android logs) all the debug messages from my app and from VPlay (for example the one about changing z-order at runtime).

Does that mean the build server builds in debug mode?

Because even on the PC, debug mode is WAY slower than release mode. And the log messages have got to take some time too right? (There’s really a lot of them)

    Hi,
the build server builds your application in release mode, but logging is still enabled as that is useful for debugging on device.

As soon as you build your game for publishing to the App Stores, all log outputs are removed! Alex will write a blog post in the following days how to release games with the build server for the App stores and we will add a publishing guide with the next release.

In the next release, you can also set a new property

    system.logOutputEnabled

to whatever value you like and even change it at runtime. This information is added to http://doc.felgo.com/qml-components-system.html. You can then disable logging completely from QML for example for debug builds, or enable logging for release builds if you want to.

Until the next release, you do not need to bother about the log outputs, as they do not affect the performance that much, and the build server applications are release builds as mentioned earlier.

    Cheers,
    Chris

    Got it – thanks!

Just as a hint for me, do you know yet about when the next release will be available?

What’s the situation on this update?

Because once it’s done, our game is going to hit the Google Play Store 😉

    Hi Chris,

we are still working hard on it and there is one minor issue left – we hope to be able to release it tomorrow – on Monday at last!

We can’t wait to play your game too 😉

    Cheers,
    Chris
