Should I be worrying about licensing my game with a Google Play license key?

If so, how do you do that in a Felgo game?
    If not, why not?

    H Martin,

what do you mean with license it with a Google Play license key?

    Cheers,

When I go to upload my APK, Google Play asks me if I want to generate a license key.

The link that it points to, “explaining” it, is here:  http://developer.android.com/google/play/licensing/index.html

“The Google Play Licensing service is primarily intended for paid applications that wish to verify that the current user did in fact pay for the application on Google Play”

    Hi Martin,

you can add a new activity by adding it to the AndroidManifest.xml (you can find that under the android folder), and add the license check there.

    Cheers, Chris

What’s an “activity”?  Is that a C module?

This seems to tell me that Felgo doesn’t really help with this … which seems to tell me that I perhaps don’t need to worry about it?

So I just wonder: why don’t I have to worry about it, if Google provide it? 🙂

    Hi Martin,

an activity is like a Scene in the Android world.

It is an extra layer of protection for paid apps that you could add to check if users have pirated an app.

    Cheers, Chris
