    Hi,

    I am using Kubuntu 14.04 64Bit Release now

    I downloaded and installed Qt Creator from Qt Creator website.

    I ran Qt Creator Maintenance Tool and added: “https://sdk.felgo.com/2/linux“ and installed Felgo 2.0 Beta,

    but when I run Qt Creator I don’t have Felgo 2.0 Beta Empty Project?

    Please help, thanks!

    Hi Jesse,

    do you have a QtCreator folder in your QtSdk folder?

    You should see the wizard, if the wizard was correctly installed to <QtSDK>\Tools\QtCreator\share\qtcreator\templates\wizards\Felgo2-EmptyProject

    Cheers, Chris

    Hi,

    I looked in: /opt/Qt/Tools/QtCreator/share/qtcreator/templates/wizards

    and I do see “Felgo2-EmptyProject” folder,

    but when I run Qt Creator I don’t see “Felgo Empty Project” listed

    in “Choose a template” under /File/”New File or Project” ?

    I am attempting to install Felgo 2.0 (on Windows 8.1 Update 1 with Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 RC) and while the maintenance tool validates the repository URL and login credentials, the package does not show up as available to install.  I ran the maintenance tool from an elevated command prompt in verbose mode (MaintenanceTool.exe –manage-packages –verbose) and the console shows the following:

    Commercial Product Key Check – Base index not found. Filtered out repository:  “https://sdk.felgo.com/2/windows”

    Hi Mark,

    which Qt compiler did you select in your installation?

    Cheers, Chris

    Mark

    Qt -> Qt 5.2.1 -> msvc2012 32-bit

    and

    Qt -> Tools -> MinGW 4.8

    are installed

    I should also note that this is a Qt Enterprise installation.

    Thanks,

    Ok thanks Mark, we’ll have a look if this issue has something to do wit the Enterprise installer.

    In the meantime, you could download Felgo with the LGPL installer.

    Cheers, Chris

    @mark & @Jesse

    we’ve found the problem, which occurs when using the latest Qt Creator 3.1.

    Please navigate to <QtSDK>\Tools\QtCreator\share\qtcreator\templates\wizards\Felgo2-EmptyProject and open the file wizard.xml.

    In there, change the content from

    class="qt4project"

    to:

    class="qmakeproject"

    Now restart Qt Creator and you should be able to see the “Empty Felgo Project” template. Please let me know if that works for you.

    Cheers, Chris

    Hi,

    Yes that fixes the problem on my Kubuntu 14.04 64Bit Linux OS.

    Will you update the Linux SDK download to fix this problem?

    Hi Chris,

    There is no <QtSDK>\Tools\QtCreator\share\qtcreator\templates\wizards\Felgo2-EmptyProject directory as the installation never occurs.  I downloaded the LGPL installer, and from there I am able to access the repository, however I will need to do a full side-by-side installation of Qt to proceed with the installation; unfortunately attempting to just install the Felgo components to a temporary directory (omitting the Qt components) and then merging the files fails to install Felgo.  I’m proceeding with the side-by-side install now and will let you know how it goes.

    Given the above, this does seem to be an Enterprise installer vs. LGPL installer issue.  The error message in the verbose output:

    Commercial Product Key Check – Base index not found. Filtered out repository: ”https://sdk.felgo.com/2/windows”

    Seems to imply that some check of the license key is failing.

    Mark, you are right!

    We will have a look at the enterprise Qt installer and let you know when we’ve found the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.

    Cheers, Chris

    Hi Mark,

    installation of Felgo now also works with the latest Enterprise Installer. Have fun with Felgo 2.0.1. 😉

    Hi Chris,

    That’s fantastic news!  I’m looking forward to trying out the new Qt Quick Compiler capabilities from Qt 5.3 in conjunction with Felgo!

    Thanks for getting this sorted out,

    Michael

    Hi

    I’ve just installed Qt5.3 using the online installer method (windows 8.1) using default settings, then installed V-play 2.0.1, but when I launch qt Creator, I see the expected editor UI appear, but I also get an error dialog over the top with title “winrtrunning.exe – system error” and content “The program can’t start because MSVCP120.dll  is missing from yor computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.” Any ideas?

    JFYI (I don’t think this matter) I had Qt 5.2 + v-play 2.0 installed previously, but I uninstalled it completely before running the 5.3 online installer.

    Thanks.

    Cheers

    Michael.
