Hi, I’m new to Felgo and I was just wondering if anyone has actually had success at generating revenue from games/apps they made with Felgo. I had a look at the games that are listed on the official site as being ones that are produced using Felgo. They weren’t ones that I had particularly heard of, but maybe that is down to my own niavity.

I’m new to games making in general, although I have worked a little with Corona SDK before. If anyone has any tips about how to go about generating revenue, and could pass that on, that would be helpful. Also, is it even possible to make a hit game using Felgo?

As listed on the showcase page, there are several successful games made with Felgo. You can have a look at the download numbers to get a sense of it. With the upcoming additions of Multiplayer and 3D (this is coming next week!), we’re looking forward to have more mid-core titles powered by Felgo in the app stores soon.

    Cheers, Chris

I didn’t really see any real successful made games with Felgo. The most downloads i saw was: 5,000 – 10,000. By ‘hit game’, I mean downloads more than 100,000.

If you have a look at the games, you’ll see that alone on Android some of the games have more than 500,000 downloads, like this one.

There are only three apps with more than 100,000 downloads and they are all made by Maysalward. Showcase needs more ‘hit games’.

Well, it seems you contradict yourself. 😉 Once you are asking what the hit games are, if you get some you need something else. You’re free to choose another framework, or just give it a go with the requirements you have and compare the time you need to develop it.

Probably Felgo should add those plugins into the free package, like Corona SDK.

We do have other benefits in the free Felgo SDK that Corona does not have, like offline builds and native API access. Also, we are not acquired by an ad company or dependent on the opinion of external investors but self-funded and independent. Again, to experience the value of a game engine the best is to try to make a protoype based on your requirements, other than that it is just assumptions. We’re happy to help with any coding questions you got.
