I have a DistanceJoint in my game and would like to make it visible (e.g. with an image like a rope (or in my case a laser)) but when i try to put an image (or a rectangle for that matter) inside the definition of the joint i get the error “Cannot assign to non-existent default property”…

the reason for this is that joints are QObjects internally, not QItems. You cannot assign child items to QObjects. Furthermore, a joint is not supposed to be a visible item with specific dimensions etc anyway, it’s just a logical connection between 2 bodies.

You can find several tutorials about Box2D ropes and similar things online, they should give you ideas how to solve your problem.

    Cheers, Alex
