I have got the demo code for flappy birds installed and running fine on the pc but when I run on android or IOS I get the errors

    Get data from
    file(moreIconHorizontal.png) failed!

    Get data from
    file(achievementIcon.png) failed!

    Get data from
    file(leaderboardIcon.png) failed!

Pop up before the game starts. The game runs fine if I tap through them though. Any ideas what is causing it?

    Great tutorial though

    Hi Gary,

this issue is related to missing graphics for Felgo Game Network which are required when using it with Felgo Build Server. You can add them to your project as described here, or pull the latest github version where we have just added the graphics. 😉

    Hi Christian,

I’ve tried to find the vplay folder in all the qml folders and it doesn’t exist. I even created a new shadow build folder and rebuilt the project. Still no vplay folder. I even did an hdd search and no vplay folder turned up. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi Vince,

did you enable daily builds as described here?

    Hi Chris,

Examples and daily builds was unchecked so I enabled them and let it do it’s thing. Once done, I restarted QT and rebuilt. I deleted the existing desktop contents just top be sure. Still no vplay folder. I uninstalled the existing demo app from my phone and sent the qml zip folder to the build server. Still get the “get data … ” error .. 🙁 .. I’m sure this is a simple fix. If you need any more info let me know.

If you are using daily builds, make sure to call clean and then call qmake again. If you then disable the shadow build option in your project settings, you will find the VPlay folder in your qml directory after building your game once.

    Hi Chris,

Still no go unfortunately. Here is a compilation of print screens to show you what I’ve done.  I’ve tried every combination of clean/makes with shadow builds enabled/disabled etc. I found vplay folders in the plugin folders and tried copying those into the qml directory to no avail. It still crashes the phone (Samsung GS4) with the “get data” error.

Also, this is the balloon pop example and not flappy bird, but I saw other threads with this error and same reply to the problem so I assumed this was all relevant.

    Hi Vince,

just to make sure: did you also set

    CONFIG += v-play_daily

in your .pro file (and then perform qmake and clean build)?
