I’m just starting here, trying all the parts etc.

I’m using Felgo for an App, the Notifications part is a large part of it and started to implement.

I used the tutorials and went to parse.com only to discover they are closing and you can no longer setup an account.

My question is simple, what can I use now?

I have done notifications before with a native app on android using my own server and “https://android.googleapis.com/gcm/send“

Can the parse plugin with Felgo be setup to not use parse? ApiGee, my own server or any of the other providers?

I just answered your support request via email. In short: Yes there will be a replacement for the Parse plugin coming in the near future, we will announce the full story in a blog post beginning of next week. Just let us know if there are any other follow-up questions.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for getting back quickly. As I said i’m used to using google services and my own back end for managing users and sending push notifications so I’m sure it will be simple enough to make a tweak. I’ll look at this over the week end and consider my options.
