    Hello,

why is it only possible to set 8 Points to a PolygonCollider?

If i set more than 8 i get a message: “Invalid number of vertices”

In the Polygonitem it is possible to set more than 8.

    Greets,

    Florian

    Hi Florian,

Box2D only allows a maximum of 8 vertices for a PolygonCollider by default. It is a very performance critical value that should not be increased (and if absolutely necessary only minimal). What would be your use case that demands more vertices?

    Cheers,
    Alex

We implement a ceiling(It’ s a polygon fitting with the ground), which falls down after a certain time.

    We solved this problem.

We generated 16 BoxCollider with a Repeater in one EntityBase =D

We know, thats not a clean solution but it wasn’t possible to do this in another way ^^

As long as it works performance wise, it’s clean enough 😛

And if you found a better solution, let us know 🙂

    Hello Alex,

can u please add this information to the documentation, becuase this is never mentioned.

Docu. of PolygonCollider “Contains a list of 3 or more vertices that make up the shape in a counter clockwise winding.”

    Thx,

    Florian

    Hi Florian,

yes we will definitely add this to the docs 🙂
