Hi, I’m working with PC’s and I’m not enthusiast with Mac machines. So I have a question: how can I fully avoid to work with a Mac to publish my apps on the AppStore!
With Felgo Cloud building for iOS we don’t need XCode anymore because we can now build and publish without a Mac, but…
How can you do to prepare all the screen copies (for at least 3 or 4 different iOS devices) required on the AppStore for your app?
As far as I know, I can doing it only with the XCode iOS simulators (because I have only one iPhone physical device) so I still need a Mac to publish an iOS app!
Do I miss anything? Any Ideas?

My Mini Mac is a little old and I’m not satisfied with the idea of buying a new one…

    Hi Jean,

if you want to take the screenshots when actually running on an iOS device (which is not obligated), you’ll either need a physical device for that size or use the iOS simulator and thus require access to a Mac, that is correct.

It is also possible to take the screenshots on your desktop with iOS theme (and e.g. add the status bar using image editing software). This is not 100% the same result, but often good enough.

    Best,
    Alex

Hi, Alex and thank you for your answer.

To get the screenshots with the Felgo desktop (set to iOS theme), how can I set the App to match a specific screen, like the iPad Pro with

    • 2732-by-2048-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi)

Do I have to use screenWidth, screenHeight properties? or something else? because if I’m using screenWidth the desktop app is then larger than my PC’s screen…

    Hi,

If your screen is not capable of showing the entire simulated screen, you can still add a width and height with an applied scale property (e.g. set it to 0.5) to the root item of your code.

    Best,

    Alex
