After installing Felgo it took over my Qt Creator, which I do not want. I want to run Felgo as standalone from my existing Qt installation. I am new to Felgo and want to test it before committing to learning and licencing. So is there a way to install Felgo without affecting my Qt Creator installation?

    Thanks

    Hi,

what you mean with “took over”? Both the Qt and the Felgo installation (if in different directories) also have a separate Qt Creator installation within them. Qt Creator shares some settings across all instances, like recently opened projects. However this is default for Qt Creator and you would need to reach out to Qt to see if you can further separate your instances.

Thanks Alex for your reply. I am on Ubuntu and have Qt creator icon on my task bar. After installing Felgo, when lunching Qt creator it opens Felgo login page. I was hoping to have another way of lunching Felgo/Qt without having to login to Felgo. I installed Felgo into its own directory. So basically I wanted to know how to make a short cut for Felgo only, and the previous way of lunching Qt creator only.

    Hi,

I am not using Ubuntu myself, so I am not 100% sure how that would work there, but both installations come with separate Qt Creator installations, so you could should be able to add a shortcut to each of them in your task bar I suppose?

    Best,
    Alex
