Hi,

I’m a building android locally but I’m struggling with defining the application name. I’ve set the android:label name to MyApplicationName in the AndroidManifest.xml and also defined an app icon. The icon works fine and the name is correct in the application manager in settings, but the name is under the icon in them menu is currently showing the project name (same name as the .pro file) instead of the application name. Is there anything else is should configure?

have you set both, the android:label from the <activity> tag, as well as the android:label in the <application> tag?

That was the problem. I only set android:label in <application> but not in <activity>. Thanks for pointing it out.
