Hi,

is it possible to get non-ASCII characters working in Text elements in Felgo?

When I use german letters like “ÄÖÜß”, they can’t seem to displayed with the Felgo cocos renderer, but with the QML renderer, it works.

Hi Chris, good to see you again here in the forums 😉

We are aware of the issue, and will investigate how to get it working. We hope to be able to add it to the next update, but currently it is not possible.

I will let you know when it is fixed – in the meantime, please try to overcome it by using “Ae” instead of “Ä” for example, or avoid words with umlauts at all 😉

Hmm thanks for your answer, I’m afraid it’s a pretty much impossible task to avoid umlauts and “ß”s at all in the German language…would be awesome if you could fix this some time. Nice to know that it’s a known bug.

But yes, in the meantime it’s good enough for me to use the “workaround”.

We fixed the issue today and we now have full UTF-8 support for all text elements! It will be part of the next update…
