I would like to add a custom splash screen to my app (ideally a short video of a couple of seconds) if not a still image,

I have read to update my .xml for android, I tried and it seemed to error out 🙁

I have also seen to add an image on a timer at the start of my app, but ideally I would like to avoid that second initially where there is a black screen, is there a way I can do this?

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi Edward,

what solution(s) did you try and what error did occur for you?

    Hi Alex,

It was an issue with the drawable directory as an overlook by myself, I got it working but there was still a brief black screen on startup – also the splash image did not fade out or disappear, it stayed loaded afterwards on my screen on top of the rest of my pages?
