    I have simple AdMob setup:

    AdMob { banner:AdMob.Smart; anchors.horizontalCenter:parent.horizontalCenter; anchors.bottom:gameScene.gameWindowAnchorItem.bottom; publisherId:”xxx”; }

     

    This normally works fine except when I initially start the game without an internet connection.  I understand that ads shouldn’t show without an internet connection, however if I’m in the middle of my game and the network comes back shouldn’t ads begin to show?  Currently, it requires a full exit and restart of the game while the network is up for ads to show.

     

    In other words, if my game is first started with an internet connection then we’re good (even if the network goes up and down after the game has started). However, if the game is first started without an internet connection then I never see ads (even if the network comes back up).

     

     

    So…is there a way to periodically check the AdMob object and reinitialize it if needed?

    Hi Mark,

    basically the AdMob SDK reloads ads on its own except for some edge cases. Are you testing with airplane mode or any other loss of connection? Are you using Felgo included AdMob plugin or the Qt 5-based plugin?

    I’m using the AdMob plugin included in the vplay game engine.  Yes, I’m using airplane mode to test behavior with and without a network connection.  That’s when I noticed the issue with starting the game without a network connection.

    Yes. The problem only seems to happen in IOS.
