    Hello Felgo Team,

Google forces it users to switch to API Level 35. This Level is currently not the “default” in Felgo and also not available in Cloud Builds:

            - Available Android Platform versions 34, 33, 31, 30, 29, 28

Will there be an update for this issue? Any new news about a Felgo update based on QT 6.8?

    Regards 🙂

    Hi,

as far as I know there are no blockers anymore and we are closing in on the Felgo update. We are also aware of the Play Store requirements and will update Cloud Builds to support it along with the latest Felgo/Qt version – so no need to worry 🙂

    Hi Günther,

I got a bit nervous so I asked google to extend the deadline. The increase of the API Level is still an issue for every other play store app.

The big Felgo update still needs a bit, but the Felgo 4.2.0 Cloud Builds toolchain will get Android 35 support this week.

    Hi,

We also wanted to quickly clarify that you are not required to update your app with Android-Target 35 this week still, as long as your current app is built against Target 34 at least (you see that in the Play Console). The warning from Google means that you will not be able to upload new builds with a Target below 35 starting September 1st, but it does not mean that your existing, published app will be taken offline.

As Günther mentioned, Cloud Builds will still support Android 35 this week, and the upcoming Felgo 4.3.0 already uses Android 35 by default.

    Best,

    Alex from Felgo

hi, what about the 16KB page size? can we use the newer ndk as well?

    Hi,

The upcoming update, Felgo 4.3.0, will utilize Qt 6.8.3 with NDK 26b, a stable Qt version that you can rely on. However, we are already working on the “next next” update, utilizing a future patch version for Qt 6.10, which will then be compatible with the 16KB page size feature and NDK 28. The foundation work for that is already done with: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-131514

    Hi,

Are you referring to the “16KB page size” now?

    Hi Bas,

If you use Cloud Builds, you can update your apps with Felgo 4.2.0 and Target API 35 starting from the beginning of September already. For local builds, you could do this even earlier. You can also wait for the upcoming release 4.3.0, which also targets API 35.

Both Felgo versions do not support 16KB page size yet, but we provide updated (Qt) libraries before the November deadline.

I hope this answers your open questions!

    Best,

    Alex
