    I have run into an issue while testing my v-play game on my Android device.
    If I let the device time out while inside the game, and then trying to resume the game it sometimes freezes. Sometimes it freezes for only a few seconds, and sometimes it freezes so that the only way to recover is to restart the application completely. Sometimes the music can be heared while the pictures is not responding. Sometimes it happened that the music started to play in the android application menu when minimizing the non responding application. While I couldn’t figure out what the problem was with my game, I tried to build your demo game, Squaby on the build server. I encountered similar problems with Squaby! Starting the game, then waiting until the screen times out, and then resuming the game by pressing the home button, would cause the game to freeze. This happens only if the application times out. Minimizing the application using home button, and resuming the game works fine.

    Have you encountered this problem before? Is this a bug in Felgo?

    I tested to run the games with latest stable build 1.5.0, and also with daily build 1.5.4, but I the same problem appeared with both. I was running the games on an Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, using Android 4.1.2.
    Can you please look into this?

    Hi Mathias,

    are you sure you built with the latest daily build version (by modifying the config.json file as described here)? We fixed the Samsung issue in daily build version 1.5.2 – so could you please double-check what the “Felgo SDK” is saying when you click on your build on the Build Server?

    Thank you for the quick reply. I’m sorry for coming with bad news, but the issue remains even with games using daily build 1.5.4. I tried both Squaby and my own game using 1.5.4 and both still freezes when returning from time out. I double checked the sdk version in the build server.

    At the moment I have only tested on my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini which I use as test device. I will try to get hands on some other android models also to see if there are any problems. Thanx for your support.

    I tried today my game and Squaby on a Google Nexus 5, and there was the same problem as on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. Once the game is timed out, and then resumed it is completely freezed, i.e. nothing is moving and the game is not responding to clicks. Going to home screen and back to the game seems to resume the game as normal. Both games were built using daily build 1.5.4.



    FWIW I’ve noticed the same issue on my Sony xperia TX.




    Is this issue is resolved?

    Hi Raimonds,

    we fixed several bugs regarding this issues on Android, and just discovered a new oneĀ (the one that maitek described above) that is getting its fix now.

    After that, we have no more open reports of similar issues on Android.
