    I am creating a game where entities are created dynamically using createEntityFromComponent(), however, when I place the EntityBase code in a separate qml file, the app crashes. When I place the code back exactly as it is, the app works. What am I doing wrong? According to the Simple Ninja Game tutorial, one comment states that I can place the the EntityBase in another qml file.

    could you post the relevant source part please? Is there any error message in the log? Usually creating entities from qml files should work equally fine as declaring them statically in a qml file.

    Somehow it just stopped crashing again, very peculiar. There weren’t any error messages in the log, so I couldn’t figure out the problem. However, it’s all fine now.
