    hi,

is it posible to change the directory name “_package”?

or to extend the path set by storageLocation to something else?

    cheers,

    Bas

    Hi,

you can have a look at the storagePath property for custom storage locations.

i do not understand storagePath, why is it a url?

when i use a path on my mac it stores the downloaded package into the app resource

    thanx,

The url type is used in QML to refer to remote or local file assets. For example, the source property of AppImage is also an url type.

Similar to the source for images, you can either specify relative paths, or absolute file paths.

Ok but i can not write to a local directory with the storagePath property.

Is it even possible to write to a path without the Package, i could not figure this out.

I have some extra directories in the apppath and want to store a file there.

    Can it be done?

The DownloadableResource always uses the _package subfolder when handling downloaded files.

The default storagePath uses FileUtils.AppDataLocation, which uses a platform-specific directory where app-related files can be put as long as the app is installed. This is where files created at app runtime can be stored.

    Best,
    Günther
