I understand Highscores and achievements are automatically posted to your a player’s facebook timeline. Is there a way to disable this. According to facebook users, they dislike apps or games posting on their behalf.  Is there a way i can stop my game from automatically posting to the player’s timeline and ask for permission first?

Hi,

when your users connect with Facebook, they are explicitly asked to allow the post permission. If they do not want to allow posting on their timeline, they can just not accept the permission and nothing will be posted on the timeline.

Also, we are not using a normal post-to-timeline sharing, but are using the Facebook Score APIs. Thus a post is only created, if you beat your facebook friend’s highscore and not just any time when you get a new score.

Okay I understand. I guess its fine after all its a high score mainly that is posted. Cool.
