A while ago I upgraded V-Play to Felgo and consequently I started using SoundEffect instead of Audio to play UI sounds.

Works just fine on my laptop. But while the app worked fine on the phone before it now crashes as soon as any of those SoundEffects is played.
Any idea what the issue might be? I’m using wav files.

Hi Markus,

are you testing on Android. We added a note to the documentation, that clarifies the supported format of WAV files by Qt & Felgo:https://felgo.com/doc/felgo-soundeffect/#supported-soundeffect-formats

If you are using 8-bit files, please convert them to 16-bit.

Hey Alex,

thanks a bunch! Didn’t see that. Converting the files to 16bit did indeed fix the issue (I am using Android).
For future reference: I converted the files to 16bit on Linux using sox like this:

sox selection_8bit.wav -b16 selection_16bit.wav
