I recently installed the Felgo SDK onto my machine running Ubuntu 12.04.  I had it installed in ~/Public/FelgoSDK.  When I load Qt Creator, I see I can create new templates or example games like BaloonPop, I see the build error, “vapplication.h: No such file or directory”.  I see this file in my SDK and I guess I could link it manually, but I was wondering if there was a larger problem that needed to be resolved as the installation instructions didn’t say anything about a setting an environment variable or something.

    ~/Public/FelgoSDK/Desktop/FelgoSDK/include/vplayapplication.h

    Hi,

have you installed other versions of Qt on your system? And which SDK version of Felgo is currently installed on your system (you can find this information in the SDK Maintenance Tool)?

This error message usually means that the project is configured to build against a wrong version of Qt. Could you please open your Qt Creator’s Projects tab and send us your desktop build pane tp be able to further investigate the issue?

    Thanks,

    Alex

No, just the stock version of Qt that’s current for Ubuntu 12.04.  Looks to be 4.8.1?

How do I see the information in the maintenance tool?  I only see options to add/remove components.  Checking for updates, it doesn’t show anything about a particular version.

Ah, I tried changing the build configuration from “Qt 4.8.1 in PATH (System) Release” to “Qt 4.8.1 for GCC (Qt SDK) Release” and now I can build without any problems and run the demos without any problems.  Thanks!

    Hi Joseph,

could you please post the following things in order for us to be able to help you with your problem:

    • Compiler output: whole text from the tab “Compile output” in the very lower area of QtCreator
    • Screenshot of project tab (tab on the left of QtCreator)
    • Screenshot of compiler settings (Tools -> Options -> Build & Run -> both tabs “QtVersions” and “Tool Chains”

    Cheers, Chrisu
