    Hey guys,

I have recently been having problems installing V-play. I am running a Mac OS X 10.8 with latest Xcode 4.6.1. In the middle of the installation, I have to cancel it because there is an error. It says it couldn’t install the ndk.nokia.api.simulator.components (at least something like that). I have tried everything but I can’t find a solution to this.

I really like Felgo and I don’t want to leave it because of this error. Please help me

Guys, I managed to fix the problem.

Glad you fixed this on your own. Did you change any settings in the installer or was it just a temporary problem?

I’ve had exactly this same problem.  I didn’t fix it.  I chose to push [IGNORE] a dozen times as it came up for all the Nokia gear.

    What is the fix?

Should the nokia stuff be on the computer already?

    _______ to v-play _______

unfortunately we could not reproduce the problem here (not even in this minute), you could however try to select the “Custom” installation in the installer tool and deselect the Symbian/Harmattan Simulator/Emulator packages manually (they are not supported by Felgo at all).

(Re tagging: Thanks for the hint, we’ll add a hint)

This might seem obvious to everyone, but having been on a Mac for most of the last 5 years, and having no experience with Qt, or v-play, I had to actually goto this page:

The reason I had to go here was that “v-play” didn’t launch after install, which is what I’ve come to expect when installing software.  The other thing… it’s not installed in my app folder.  I had to do a search for it, only to find the folder, and the confusingly named stuff inside it, through a Finder search.

On the above linked page it’s not obvious WHAT I should open.  You don’t start with “Open Qt Creator…” or “Launch Qt Creator…” and it’s not obvious to me that I should be creating v-play stuff (so heavily branded into my consciousness because of the install process) with something that isn’t called “v-play IDE!”.

It’s just a personal opinion, but I think you should be loud about the fact that this is an SDK, that you edit and create stuff in Qt Creator, because I was really looking for the v-play IDE.  Maybe it’s just me.
