Can someone help me setup the Javascript version of the Swiss Ephemeris on V-play please….

The instructions on its github page is for node.js.

I need this for the astrology program I plan to make using V-play for android.

Here is the github link for it.

I just need to set it up….

Which I currently don’t know how to do….

    Can anyone help please????

    Thank you very much…

    Hi bliss,

I just checked out the Swiss Ephemeral library, and unfortunately I think it won’t work with Felgo, as it is developed for node.js and so it’s not pure Java/EcmaScript but uses many of its extensions.

But isn’t there a C/C++ version of this library? You could use this one with Felgo 2.0 / Qt 5 because in this new version we support custom C++ code.

Please let us know if you have any success with it!

    Hi Chrisu

Thank you for the quick reply.

Yes…there is a C version of the library.

    I welcome this idea actually.

Because with my current iOS app, it uses the C version.

That means I can reuse more code which is a good thing.

So now the question is, do you have an example code/project of how to mix C and C++ with Javascript V-play?

I would need the C++ calls coz I need to use a DatePicker which I know is available with Qt.

    Thank you.

    Hi again,

have you already tried out Felgo 2.0?
With it, you can by default add C++ sources and headers to your project in QtCreator and include them from main.cpp (a Felgo application is, by it’s core, a C++ program).

For a tutorial how to use C++ classes from QML, I suggest you read the official Qt documenation about this topic.

If something’s still unclear to you, feel free to ask 🙂

    Hi Chrisu,

Actually…I have not…I downloaded it way before 2.0 was available.

    How do I upgrade?

    Felgo Team

You should check it out, Felgo 2.0 offers many great new features, like deploying to Android and iOS devices directly from your PC 😉

Take a look at the 2.0 documentation, and the installation guide. Basically you will need to download Qt 5.3 and add Felgo as a plugin repository.

Please let us know if you are able to make any progress with the C library!

    Hi Chrisu,

Ok, I just read the documentation now.

    Thank you very much.
