    Hi,

I’ve installed v-play and the maintenance tool has lost it’s .dat file for some reason.  (I’m on Windows 10)

This seems to relate to https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTIFW-689  (fixed in 2.0.3)

    maintenance tool version:

    IFW Version: “2.0.1”
    Build date: “Jun 7 2017”
    Installer Framework SHA1: “2b1e9be”
[0] create Error-Exception: “Cannot open file C:/FelgoSDK/MaintenanceTool.dat for reading: No such file or directory”

Is there a known way to restore such a .dat file without completely reinstalling everything?

Because modify and uninstall in the windows installed programms section relies also on the maintenance tool, i can only delete everything to get this tool working again.

    Hi Michael,

if you cannot recover your dat file, reinstalling will be the only option. I’d suggest to make a copy of the dat file right after installation, then you can use this one in case it breaks again. This bug in the Qt installer framework is a bit tedious indeed.

    Cheers,
    Alex
