hi,

i have implemented the oneSignal notification and that works, but i do not see the red dot on the app icon.

am i missing something?

Hi Bas,

On which platform are you having this issue? Are you sure that all the notification settings are enabled (e.g. Badges are turned on for the app on iOS)?

on IOS and android, and i tested on 2 different IOS devices. the notification comes up but not the red dot on the app icon.

Hi Bas,

I’ve had a deeper look at the way OneSignal and the platforms handle badges. Here is a great resource from OneSignal: https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/badges

On iOS, you need to explicitly set the badge count as well, it doesn’t automatically reflect the number of notifications.

Meanwhile on Android, we currently don’t support the OneSignal SDK version that allows badges to be set automatically, unfortunately.
