When running my game, I can use CTRL + 1-7 to switch between standard resolutions, and CTRL + F to enter fullscreen.

What about rotation, in case I want to see how it looks in portrait mode, is there a shortcut for rotating the gamewindow ?

    Hi Brian,

there is no shortcut to change orientations, but you can change the default width and height to something like 640×960 to start your game in portrait mode instead of the default landscape one, and with the shortcuts switch between the other resolutions of portrait mode.

Changing between portrait and landscape at runtime is not supported, because you usually do not want to design your game for both orientations, because you are limiting your game space (or the logical scene size) in that case. That’s why we do not support orientation changes at runtime, but rather choose one at app start. Do you have any game in mind, which allows changing rotations at runtime?

    Cheers, Chris

    Hi Chris

I have no specific game in mind, I just thought that switching orientation might be usefull, while mocking up a game.

    Thanks … Brian

    Hi Brian,

you’re welcome! You can change orientation by changing the GameWindow & Scene width/height and setting it to a portrait size as suggested above, but I would rather decide if your game is portrait or landscape upfront.

If you have any further questions just let us know here in the forums. 🙂

    Cheers, Chris
