I am trying to build a project I started working on with the old version of Qt using Vplay installation. I get the error: ”

Error while building project [Project Name] (target: Qt Simulator)

When executing build step ‘Make’.

 

I then tried to clean the project, then it gave me this info: “:-1: error: Qt Creator needs a tool chain set up to build. Configure a tool chain in Project mode.”

 

Whenever I load up Vplay, I get this Plugin Loader Message windows that say that the UpdateInfo plugin have error and cannot be loaded.

 

I hope I presented the problem as clear as it can be. I anticipate an answer that can help me resolve this problem. Thanks.

to be able to resolve your error, please answer these questions:

1.) Which operating system are you working with?

2.) Which Felgo version do you have installed? (you see the version in the Felgo SDK Maintenance tool in the package manager)

3.) What do you mean with “Simulator target”? Are you trying to use the Symbian simulator?

2. I am not sure how to access the version info from the package manager. How do I get there?

3. Yes, I am trying to use a Symbian Simulator.

Ok the 3rd answer explains it – we do not support the Symbian or MeeGo Simulator targets. Instead, you can work with the Windows version and simulate different device resolutions by pressing Ctrl + 1-7 (if you have the latest version 1.5 installed), or just 1-7 on the keyboard. You can change the default resolution, by changing the GameWindow size in your main qml file.
