We have several Webviews in our app.
The URLS of the webviews have a number of links with target=”_”blank”. On iOS, when one of those links is clicked, a new system browser window opens and displays the appropriate page. This is the desired result.
However, on Android, the links open a page within the same webview in the app. This is not the result we want.
So, how do we get the links in an Android webview to behave the same as links in an iOS webview?
