It’s that time of year once again! The Qt World Summit 2015 will be held in Berlin next week and we’re pleased to announce that Felgo will attend on October 6-7.
For those lucky enough to attend, Alex and Chris, the Felgo co-founders, were selected by the Qt Committee to give two talks. They’ll also be on the floor at the conference if you fancy a chat. And, if you’re going to be in Berlin but don’t have a ticket, don’t worry! You can still meet the guys for a talk outside the event.
What’s the Qt World Summit?
Once known as Qt Developer Days, the Qt World Summit is the biggest Qt event of the year. This year’s conference takes place in Berlin and will run October 5-7. Alex and Chris are there on all three days.
A ticket to the event gives people the chance to come and learn about all the latest developments in the world of Qt. Attendees also have the chance to meet face-to-face with the people behind the Qt framework.
The Talks
There will be a number of sessions on Qt development over the course of the Summit and Felgo is glad to announce that Alex and Chris, Felgo’s co-founders, will present two talks on two different days.
The first talk will be on Tuesday October 6 at 16:00 – 16:30 and will be a non-technical talk on how to use Felgo to develop for multiple screen resolutions and how to increase and measure the success of your cross-platform app.
This talk will explain which Qt components you can use to increase your application downloads and user retention. It will also cover how to measure the success of your apps across platforms.
The second talk will be on Wednesday October 7 13:30-14:30 and will be an in-depth technical talk on how to use Felgo to develop for multiple screen resolutions and how to increase and measure the success of your cross-platform app.
Alex and Chris will cover dynamic image switching, content scaling and basic Qt Quick features like file selectors, Loader elements, Layouts, QML Singletons and property bindings.
They’ll also compare the use cases for each of them and show how the new offering, Felgo Apps, helps to solve the issues in cross-platform mobile app development.
In addition, they’ll also show how you can use a density-independent approach to create Qt apps on different resolutions, screen sizes, and screen densities.
On the Floor
If you can’t make it to one of our talks, you can still meet the guys on the floor! Alex and Chris will be joining with our friends at Gimasi and previewing some up-coming Felgo features at their booth. Make sure to drop by and say hello!
Let’s Meet in Berlin!
You don’t have to be attending the Qt World Summit to find out more about Felgo! If you’re going to be in Berlin on October 5-7, we’d love to meet up for a chat outside the event. Just drop us a line and we’ll arrange a meeting for a time that suits.
