What is Mobile World Congress 2016?
Mobile World Congress, or MWC, is an annual gathering for the mobile industry and related industries, organised by the GSMA, and held in Barcelona, Spain, the Mobile World Capital.
Last year’s MWC drew 94,000 attendees and featured more than 140 speaker sessions. The event is an important meeting place for everything mobile and you can expect talks from CEOs from top mobile carriers, tech giants like Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and people from outside the mobile world such as Formula 1 driver Louis Hamilton.
One of the biggest attractions of the Mobile World Congress 2016 is App Planet. App Planet hosts Exhibition, Networking and Developer Conference Sessions. These sessions provide app developers with the opportunity to learn and network with the leaders of app development.
Another interesting part of the event is 4YFN (4 Years from Now). 4YFN connects mobile start-ups and entrepreneurs with investors, accelerators, incubators and big corporations from the digital and non-digital world.
The premier event of Mobile World Congress 2016 is the Mobile World Summit. Under the theme of “Connecting Everyone and Everything to a Better Future”, the 2016 Mobile World Summit will explore the socio-economic impact of mobile technologies on individuals, businesses and governments around the world.
